Roundtable discussion “National priorities: Quality education accessible to all”

On December 1, 2023, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Ak Niyet Boarding School held a roundtable on the topic “National priorities: Quality education accessible to all” for teachers, speech therapists and speech pathologists from special education institutions.

The roundtable discussion consisted of two parts: theoretical and practical.

In the theoretical part, the representatives of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, the Regional Psychological, Medical and Pedagogical Commission (PMPC), Ak Niyet Boarding School made presentations. 

During the practical session, the experts from psychological and pedagogical support of Ak Niyet Boarding School, Special Boarding School No. 2, Special Boarding School No. 8, Basic Secondary Boarding School and Rehabilitation Center for Children with Special Educational Needs demonstrated their experiences in creating special conditions for children with special educational needs in special education institutions.

Following the event, the participants took a tour of Ak Niyet Boarding School, then participated in the feedback session where received answers to their questions, discussed relevant issues concerning the work of teachers of special education institutions, along with an action plan for 2024. They highlighted the importance of the event.  

More than 30 teachers of special education institutions of the region took part in the event and received methodological recommendations.
