SAFE NEW YEAR

The New Year's celebration is always accompanied by a merry and upbeat mood. However, the holiday can turn into a tragedy. Analyzing the fire situation during the New Year's events, the fire service notes an increase in the number of fires due to so-called “New Year's causes”.

A significant number of these incidents are linked to the disregard of fire safety measures, such as the use of open flames, the use of defective electric garlands, and careless handling of pyrotechnic devices.

Taking into account the relevance of the issue on the eve of the winter holidays, Orken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, along with the civil defense captain, a senior engineer of Emergency Situations Department of East Kazakhstan region A.O. Kumarbekov, held an interactive lesson on the topic “Uidegi ort kauipsizdigi” (Fire Safety at Home).

The event focused on the most common causes of fires and other New Year's incidents.
