10 schoolchildren of Kazakhstan from Astana, Almaty, Kokshetau and Ridder took part in the robotics competition called “The 7 Belt and Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop”, jointly sponsored by the Chinese Association of Science and Technology (CAST), the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the People's Provincial Government (Chongqing city). The competition involved 30 Central Asian countries, 781 participants.
The camp where our schoolchildren and teachers stayed “One Belt, One Road” is focusing around the scientific research and cultural exchange between teenagers and teachers of natural sciences. The camp is supported by the IAP Science Education Program, the ECO Science Foundation, the Network of African Academies of Sciences (NASAC) and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
The participation of our team in the international technical camp became possible thanks to cooperation with Lazzat A. Kussainova, the President of the International Centre of Scientific Collaborations, a member of the Preparatory Committee of the International Literacy Organization and the IAP SEP Global Council for Science Education.
The event provided our students with the opportunity to collaborate with their peers at the international level, share ideas and learn advanced knowledge in the scientific laboratories of leading schools of China based on practical experience and teamwork under the guidance of experienced teachers.
A team member from East Kazakhstan region Amir Bazylkhanov, a student of School-Lyceum No. 1 of Ridder town, took part in online lectures, excursions, studied theoretical material on the chosen topic for four months and worked on the final project. In his final project, he developed a program for a “Smart vehicle” that operated on artificial intelligence and performed actions based on the conditions set.
Amir Bazylkhanov, under the guidance of his teacher of physics and robotics Yuri B. Kotvitsky at the VII International Technical Competition, received a certificate for the best presentation in the direction of “Artificial Intelligence. Unmanned vehicles”.
Our congratulations to Amir, we wish him success in achieving his goals and further victories!
All ten students were awarded diplomas and certificates.
