Regional seminar “Updating natural-scientific activities in eco-educational and local history work of a modern teacher”

On November 3, 2023, Orken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Educational Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional seminar called “Updating natural-scientific activities in eco-educational and local history work of a modern teacher”. It took place in Educational and Research Ecobiocenter of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, in accordance with the action plan of “School of Autumn Holidays – 2023”.

The seminar was attended by educators of additional education of the eco-biological field and natural science teachers from secondary schools.

The goal of the seminar is to develop the creative potential of teachers of natural science and environmental education in order to improve their skills and the efficiency of their procedural activities.

During the seminar, the director and educators of the Center made presentations on the following topics: “Ecobiocenter in the system of continuous environmental education and continuity in learners’ research activities” - A. Zyganov, director of the Center; “Uzdiksiz ecologiyalyk bilim berudegi sabaktastyk. Ecologiyalyk zhobalar” - G. Nurzhan, deputy director for educational affairs; “Nature trails in eco-biological education of children” - Yu. Lukyanets, deputy director; “Oskemen kalasy okushylarynyn “Menin tandauym-TAZA KALA” ecologiyalyk zhobasy turaly” - N. Serikova, an educator of additional education; “Sacred sites of East Kazakhstan in the tourist and local history activity of a teacher as an integrative aspect of additional and basic education of schoolchildren” - E. Kulikova, head of the Department; “Psychological training “Features of psychological support in conditions of additional education” - A. Mamirbekova, a teacher-psychologist of additional education.

During the tour of the center’s laboratory, the seminar participants visited the zoo, the botanical garden, got acquainted with the system of work of the Center, received methodological assistance and exchanged experiences.

Following the seminar, the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers, noting that the seminar was held at a high level, shared their impressions, highlighted the important methodological support they received on relevant topics discussed during the seminar.
