Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region organized an off-site meeting in Katon-Karagai district to address the issue of “Developing the potential of rural small schools”

An off-site meeting took place in Katon-Karagai district, where the participants discussed the issue of “Developing the potential of rural small schools”. The event was attended by the heads of District and City Education Departments of East Kazakhstan region.

In today’s world, quality education plays a crucial role. An educated nation is our future.

It is important to develop rural schools as intellectual and social centers. As the saying goes: “A village lives as long as there is a school.” The school performs a number of social functions. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev spoke about this strategically important task for rural schools at the recent Republican Congress of Teachers.

In our region, 76% of schools are located in rural areas. The meeting took place in Katon-Karagai district, where sufficient experience has already been gained to implement the project “Developing the potential of rural small schools”.

During the meeting, the participants talked about the basis for increasing the success of schools and eliminating inequality in the quality of education between urban and rural schools. The event was followed with an exchange of views.
