Results of Regional Subject Olympiad “Tugan Jer. Tugan El. Tugan Global”

Daryn East Kazakhstan Research and Methodology Center for Gifted and Additional Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University held the Regional Subject Olympiad “Tugan Jer. Tugan El. Tugan Global”, as part of implementing the Rukhani Zhangyru Program. The Olympiad is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to identify and support gifted school students, as well as to develop citizenship, patriotism by encouraging them to study the historical and cultural heritage of their native land, to familiarize school students with one of the leading universities in Eastern Kazakhstan - S. Amanzholov EKSU in order to prevent the outflow of potential applicants from the region.

The Olympiad was attended by 200 school students of grades 8-11 of educational institutions of the region - the winners of the district (city) rounds.

The Olympiad consisted of 2 rounds: presentation of the project on the theme “Abai’s Great Heritage” and remote integrated testing in the subjects: “Literature”, “Geography” and “Kazakhstan History”.

Following the results of the Olympiad, 95 students became prize-winners (Grand Prix-1, diplomas of the first degree - 12, the second degree - 33, the third degree - 49).

The holder of the Grand Prix - a student of the 11th grade of Georgy High School of Zharma district Dakenova Ayazhan was awarded a grant by the rector of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University for the academic year 2020-2024, majoring in History.
