Regional competition “Most reading family”

On September 7, 2023, as part of the Reading School Project, Orken Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional video competition “Most Reading Family”, dedicated to the Family Day in Kazakhstan.

65 families of learners of regional school participated in the district rounds of the competition, and 18 reading families-winners from cities and districts presented their creative works in the form of videos at the regional competition.

Each work was full of bright and interesting family stories. Children, moms and dads, grandparents and whole family teams not only showed their passion for their favorite books, but also demonstrated artistic talent, acting skills, directing abilities.

According to the results of the Competition, the winners are:

among the 1st-4th graders and their families:

First Degree Diploma – Talgatbek Ayaru (the Talgatbek family), a 3rd grader of Karatal Secondary School of Education Department of Zaisan district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Second Degree Diploma – Ruslan Asylbayev (the Asylbayev family), a 2nd grader of School Gymnasium No. 10 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Second Degree Diploma – Ekaterina Chashina (the Chashin family), a 2nd grader of A.S. Ivanov Vydrikha Complex Secondary School-Kindergarten of Education Department of Shemonaikha district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Third Degree Diploma – Timur Osipov (the Osipov family), a 3rd grader of Borodino Secondary School of Education Department of Altai district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region; 

Third Degree Diploma – Sofia Kholina (the Kholin family), a 1st grader of M. Gorky Basic Secondary School of Education Department of Ridder town of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

among the 5th-7th graders and their families:

First Degree Diploma – Iliyas Toleubekov (the Toleubekov family), a 7th grader of Zharsu Secondary School of Education Department of Zaisan district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Second Degree Diploma – Evgeniya Rayeva (the Rayev family), a 7th grader of Y. Altynsarin Glubokoe Secondary School of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Second Degree Diploma – Kirill Kondrashov (the Kondrashov family), a 6th grader of Regional Specialized IT School-Lyceum of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Third Degree Diploma – Anastasia Litvinenko (the Litvinenko family), a 5th grader of Regional Specialized School-Lyceum for Children Gifted in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

The Commission awarded the following nominations:

Active reader - Nuray Tokenova (the Tokenov family), a 4th grader of Yu.A. Gagarin Kurchum Secondary School No. 1 of Education Department of Kurchum district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Erudite reader - Amina Akpanova and Alina Akpanova (the Dosov family), a 4th grader of Oralkhan Bokey Kazakh Secondary School of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

All the family teams showed talent, imagination, skill and love for reading. A strong family spirit and traditions of family reading played a great role in completing the tasks.
