Interactive dictation, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev

Abai Kunanbayev is a great Kazakh poet who discovered new ways of developing native literature. The Abai’s creativity was the embodiment of the spiritual and creative forces of the Kazakh people, their wisdom, freedom and patriotism.

An outstanding Kazakh poet-educator is the founder of the new written language of the Kazakh literary language.

This year is significant for the people of Kazakhstan, as this year we mark the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev.

Interactive dictation among schoolchildren of grades 7-10 of the region was held by Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, Daryn East Kazakhstan Research and Methodology Center for Gifted and Additional Education Development and the Regional Center for New Technologies in Education as part of the regional action plan for the poet’s 175th anniversary preparation and holding.

The purpose of the event is to increase students’ interest in the study of classical Kazakh literature, promoting Abai's creativity, developing the aesthetic sense of students as well as promoting high morality, spiritual culture of the younger generation.

The interactive dictation based on the materials of the Abai’s works as well as on the literary works written about the great enlightener of the Kazakh people.

About 3,000 children wrote the dictation - students of grades 7-10 of the general educational institutions of the region.

The interactive dictation took place online on the educational portal of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region. Schoolchildren wrote a dictation and performed a number of test tasks during 40 minutes.
