A tour dedicated to Astana Day

On June 28, a local history tour “Ancient cities of Kazakhstan” to the Akbaur archaeological site was organized for the members of Training and Research Ecobiocenter hobby group of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

The children were introduced to the historical past of the Republic of Kazakhstan in an engaging way. They visited the settlements from the early Iron Age, and the excavations under the guidance of Z.S. Samashev. They learned about the work of archaeologists and the ancient artifacts that were found in the territory of Akbaur. The uniqueness of these ancient-proto-city settlements reflects the initial stage of the statehood formation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shapes the scientific worldview of the children, and fosters patriotism.
