PRESS RELEASE of a raid as part of National Information Campaign “12 Days Against Child Labour”

Date: on June 9, 2023 (day and night)

Location: the territory of Ulba Police Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city (Metallurg Park, game halls, entertainment centers, cafe-restaurants, gas stations, fast food facilities)

Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with law enforcement agencies within the framework of the annual National Information Campaign “12 Days Against Child Labour” involving media representatives, the regional branch of Youth Wing of Zhastar Rukhy under Amanat Party, the civil sector Phoenix Development and Adaptation Center carried out the raid activities in various objects, such as park areas, markets, gas stations, construction sites, etc. in order to identify the facts of child labor.

On 1-12 June, 2023, all districts of the region are holding similar raids.

Expected results: raising the level of legal awareness of society about children’s rights, as well as about possible forms of assistance in cases when children get into the worst forms of child labor; involving parents, state and public organizations in activities to ensure the protection of the legitimate interests of children.
