Organization of hot meals in educational organizations

As of today, 95,321 pupils are provided with hot meals in the region, including 15,398 (100%) pupils from socially vulnerable families are provided with free meals.

Hot meals are organized by individual entrepreneurs in 246 schools, out of 342 schools of the region.

In 2019-2020, competitive procedures were held to choose a Private Partner for the PPP project “Modernization and maintenance of a school canteen”. The project was implemented in 41 schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk city; repairs were carried out in the canteens of these schools.

Since September 2019, this project has been successfully implemented in Secondary School No. 15 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city. There are 1673 children at the school. Including, 216 children are provided with free hot meals at the expense of the state.

There are 10 people working in the canteen of this school. All of them have the appropriate qualifications and are provided with a social package, they are officially employed.

Every day, schoolchildren are provided with high-quality, health and balanced hot meals. For example, lunch includes salad, starters and seconds, drink, a roll or fruits.

Also in the school canteen there is a buffet where children can buy juices, drink, fresh pastries. The menu of the school is varied, rich and meets the sanitary rules “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for educational facilities”, approved by the Order of the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 5, 2021 No. KR DSM-76 registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 6, 2021 No. 23890. It’s daily approved by the school administration.
