Regional webinar to improve psychologists’ professional competencies

Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, on a systematic basis, takes measures to improve the professional skills of psychologists of educational organizations of the region, to share advanced pedagogical experience, to find ways out of current problems in the educational process.  

By the way, there are 357 psychologists in 342 schools of the region, social and psychological services are functioning as well, consisting of deputy headmasters for educational affairs, social teachers, classroom teachers.

On May 4, 2023, the leading psychologist of the region L.P. Kuzemko held a master class on the prevention of suicidal behavior in children and adolescents.

As part of the webinar, the participants received effective tools to strengthen the role of a teacher-psychologist in educational organizations, to improve advisory skills, and acquire knowledge on strengthening parents' skills to support children. As a result of the event, educational psychologists fixed their skills, acquired new knowledge and practical skills to identify risk factors, signs of suicidal behavior.  

The event was held in a dialogue format, psychologists were not just passive listeners, but active participants.
