A regional workshop
On April 28, 2023, a regional workshop “Organizing the educational and developmental process of learners with special educational needs” was held jointly with the branch of the Institute for Professional Development Orleu JSC of East Kazakhstan region, on the basis of Ak Niyet Boarding School.
Ak Niyet is a unique institution, where children with special educational needs, on an equal basis with their peers, get access to quality education. They also receive correctional support and rehabilitation, additional education, development of creative abilities, initial vocational training.
The workshop was attended by: heads, deputies for educational affairs, teachers of special preschool and school institutions, experts of psychological and pedagogical support from general education schools implementing inclusive practice, methodologists of Shygys Regional Center, heads of the Institute for Professional Development of the branch of Orleu JSC of East Kazakhstan region, educators of S. Amanzholov East-Kazakhstan University.
Irina A. Chernysheva, Head of Education Administration welcomed the participants of the workshop, highlighting that in a short time, the teaching staff has positive results in creating special conditions for teaching and supporting children with special educational needs.
G.S. Zhumanova, director of the Institute for Professional Development of the branch of Orleu JSC of East Kazakhstan region, emphasized the importance of continuous professional education of teachers in modern realities.
In their speeches, headmaster of Ak Niyet S.K. Krivitskaya, and deputy headmaster for educational affairs Zhalaushinova revealed the key directions for creating their own pedagogical system of educational work.
At the practical part, a teacher of additional education M.B. Amirova presented a master class on felting, which contributes to the development of fine motor skills of hand and fingers.
S.N. Iskakova, A.Z. Kaliyeva, S.S. Sainova - primary school teachers demonstrated their active pedagogical technologies and forms in teaching children with disabilities.
At the individual and group lessons of special teachers G.S. Akhmetova, S.K. Ensebayeva, A.B. Ansaganova, the participants of the workshop got acquainted with the types of exercises for the development of visual, auditory perception, the formation of sound analysis in children with speech problems, as well as the use of neurostimulation methods in the work of speech pathologists.
Choreographer M.A. Khalelova prepared fragments of a lesson on forming the musical and rhythmic skills in children with hearing disorder, and the instructor of adaptive and therapeutic physical education A.Zh. Mamyrbekov showed exercises for physical activity and posture correction in children with cerebral palsy.
In the second part of the workshop, teachers Zh.Zh. Baiyrkhanova, N.A. Madiyeva, A.T. Kunanbayeva, N.M. Makhmetova, A.Zh. Etekbayeva invited all the guests to participate in a “brainstorming session” with a demonstration of effective forms and methods for doing homework.
In conclusion, they exchanged views on the presented experience of the Ak Niyet pedagogical team, with discussing new methodological approaches in teaching and psychological-pedagogical support of children with special educational needs in a special school.
The event was hard-driving and fruitful, the atmosphere was really warm and friendly.
