Practical methodological workshop “The role of cartography in increasing learners’ cognitive and research activities in history lessons”

On April 27, 2023, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a practical methodological online workshop for teachers of history of secondary schools of the region with the Russian language of instruction on the topic “The role of cartography in increasing learners’ cognitive and research activities in history lessons”.

The event was attended by teachers of history of educational organizations of the region and specialized educational organizations, heads of associations, methodologists of district/city education departments, in all, 70 people.

The goal of the workshop is to exchange practices and provide methodological support for shaping learners’ skills in the spatial orientation of the studied historical facts and events while learning history, the ability to read a historical map and use it as a source of knowledge.

During the event, teachers of history of secondary schools of the region shared their experience. The participants noted the relevance and practical significance of the workshop and gave feedback.
