Festival of students “Under One Shanyrak”

Motherland is the most important and most precious word in a person's life. The Small Motherland is a school, a family, a city where we were born, the Motherland on a global scale is our huge Republic of Kazakhstan.

Hence the festival is called “Under One Shanyrak”. It took place on April 27, 2023 for TVET students in offline format, in Ust-Kamenogorsk city on the basis of Ust-Kamenogorsk Service College, as part of implementing the Rukhani Zhangyru Program.

 This event was initiated by Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region with the participation of Ust-Kamenogorsk Service College, Ust-Kamenogorsk Construction College.120 people took part in the festival.

The festival started with the greeting of the participants with the Kazakh ritual of hospitality – “Shashu” and the Russian tradition “Bread and salt”.

Inessa Chernysheva, head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region welcomed and congratulated the participants of the festival.

In the Peoples' Friendship Festival, talented college students of 21 ethnic groups presented their creativity to the audience and guests with songs and dances. An opportunity was given to learn the folk peculiarities, art, creativity of different nations.

Shanyrak is the upper part of the yurt with uyks (supports) spread around it resembling the sun rays. The image of the shanyrak is the image of a common home, of all people living in Kazakhstan. If shanyrak is a house, then uyks are peoples, so that its well-being depends on each of us, because we are all the supporters - the people of Kazakhstan.
