Results of the I Zhakula Kushikuly Regional Olympiad in Chemistry and Biology

On April 24-25, 2023, Daryn Scientific and Methodological Center for Gifted and Additional Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held the 1st Zhakula Kushikuly Regional Olympiad in Chemistry and Biology.

1. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted the Olympiad. It aims to increase the learners’ interest in studying chemistry and biology, identifying gifted and talented students, supporting intellectual development and professional orientation among schoolchildren.

The sponsor of the Olympiad is Askar Zhakulin Charitable Foundation.

About 200 learners of grades 9-11 took part in the Olympiad - the winners of the district (city) rounds.

The Olympiad included two rounds: theoretical and practical.  

The learners showed theoretical knowledge and skills in solving problems in biology and chemistry.

According to the results of two rounds of the Olympiad, 18 schoolchildren were awarded First Degree Diplomas; Second Degree Diplomas - 24; Third Degree Diplomas - 48.

The winners were awarded diplomas and money certificates.
