Our region pays special attention to the training of in-demand specialists, taking into account the needs of the labor market of the region. Thus, the Bilikti Maman Project has been successfully implemented on the initiative of the regional akim Danial Akhmetov for 6 years and yields its results.
What is the advantage of the project? First of all, the access of young people to higher education has been significantly expanded.
Moreover, thanks to the project, the outflow of our youth outside the country has been reduced from 1800 to 298 people, and, importantly, the rate of employed people has increased to 77% of the 569 graduates who graduated under this project.
It should be noted that during the project implementation period, 2306 educational grants were allocated from the local budget.
This year, 270 educational grants will be directed to such relevant specialties for the region as education, medicine, information and communication technologies, engineering, construction and agriculture.
We’d like to inform potential participants of the competition that applications for receiving an educational grant are accepted from August, 5 till August, 10 of the current year.
Well, virtual admission committees of higher education institutions and advisory assistance via video link will help applicants from remote districts apply.
Undoubtedly, the priority of the state is to provide access to higher education for children from socially vulnerable segments of the population.
For these purposes, quotas have been established for a number of categories - these are persons with disabilities of the first or second groups, persons with disabilities since childhood; veterans eligible to veterans of the Great Patriotic War; rural youth; persons of the Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan; orphans and children left without parental care; rural youth moving to the regions determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan; children from large families and single-parent families who have this status for three years.
