An online webinar to prepare learners for the International Study TIMSS-2023

On March 2, 2023, East Kazakhstan Regional Center for New Technologies in Education jointly with TEC NIS JSC of Ust-Kamenogorsk city held a training webinar on the topic: “TIMSS: from knowledge to skills” for primary school teachers of the region in order to qualitatively prepare the learners from the selected educational organizations for the international study TIMSS-2023.

During the webinar, the trainer of Teaching Excellence Center E.A. Marchenko, in the theoretical part, noted the dynamics of educational achievements for the current period, the advantages of TIMSS-2023, the features of cognitive activity among 4th graders in mathematics and science, as well as the factors affecting the education quality.

In the practical part with primary school teachers, she demonstrated a number of tasks on the use of the elementary basics of geometry, physics, biology, geography.

Different tasks were solved with an online audience for subtraction, addition, comparison, measurement, display, work with tables, solving logical problems in math and science subjects.
