Regional online workshop “Raising awareness on preparing of educational organizations for state certification”

On March 1, 2023, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in accordance with the annual plan, jointly with Education Quality Assurance Department of East Kazakhstan region, held a regional online workshop for headmasters and deputy headmasters of 19 schools of Tarbagatai, Katon-Karagai and Altai districts on explaining and preparing of educational organizations for the state certification in May and June of this year.

The goal is to clarify and prepare documents of educational organizations during the self-assessment of educational activities in accordance with the Order No. 486 dated 05.01.2022 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On approval of the assessment criteria of educational organizations”.

During the workshop, Zhumabek Z. Kambetov, Deputy Head of Education Quality Assurance Department of East Kazakhstan region, acquainted the participants with the key directions and criteria for preparing an educational organization for state certification.

Zhumabek Z. Kambetov noted the importance of self-assessment of educational organizations, involving the analysis of the activities of educational organizations (provided educational services) in accordance with the general requirements of the state compulsory educational standards.  

According to the general provisions of the assessment criterion of educational organizations, the following items of the criteria were explained:

1. assessment is carried out for 2 academic years and the current academic year one month before the start of the state certification;
2. comprehensive testing of the 4th and 9th graders;
3. availability and compliance with educational standards;
4. direction of educational work;
5. organization of extracurricular activities;
6. the total volume of the weekly and annual training load of learners (invariant, variable component) in accordance with the established educational standards;
7. the number of teachers who have completed advanced training courses;
8. material base of the educational organization.

The workshop was followed by feedback where the speaker answered the participants’ questions.
