Practical training of students of regional colleges on the basis of the Competence Centers

As part of implementing Zhas Maman Republican Project in 2020-2021, East Kazakhstan region launched Competence Centers on the basis of 4 leading colleges. These Competence Centers are equipped with modern equipment and technology providing training in the following areas: Energy - Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College, Agriculture - East Kazakhstan Agricultural College, Construction - Ust-Kamenogorsk Construction College and Metallurgy - Ridder College.

As a result of the practical training in the Competence Centers, the vocational education system of the region placed an emphasis on maximum satisfaction of the demands of the labor market with high-quality specialists who acquire primary work skills, and then refine their professional skills in the Competence Centers on equipment similar to production ones, which will allow students to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of production process, significantly facilitate the process of adaptation of college graduates in a professional environment.

15 students of Zaisan Technological College undergoing training in Agricultural Mechanization are doing currently internships in the Competence Center of East Kazakhstan Agricultural College.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, it is planned to conduct practical training for 900 college students of the region on the basis of 5 Competence Centers.
