Regional online workshop “A mentor for a young teacher: image, work technologies, results of interaction”

On February 7, 2023, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional online workshop “A mentor for a young teacher: image, work technologies, results of interaction” with the participation of mentors and young teachers.

The goal of the workshop is to provide the methodological mentoring support through the search for innovative forms and methods of effective work with a young teacher.

Welcoming the participants of the workshop, the head of Management Unit of Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Elmira T. Shaumenova highlighted the importance of assessing mentoring.

The heads of Methodological Units of Education Departments - Lyailya K. Umytbayeva (Katon-Karagai district) and Svetlana A. Bagriy (Glubokoe district) showed the results of the analysis of the activities of teachers-mentors for 3 years.

During the online workshop, the following teachers-mentors and young teachers shared their experience:

Elena A. Gora – a mentor, a primary school teacher and Anastasia D. Sayenko - a young teacher, an educator of the pre-school preparation group of Y. Altynsarin Glubokoe Secondary School of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;  

Zhenіskhankyzy Altynshash – a mentor, an English teacher, Bulbulan K. Kasymova – a mentor, a teacher of physics and young teachers: Seitkamzina Gaukhar, an English teacher, Zhetpisova Ulzhan, a teacher of mathematics of Zhambyl Regional Specialized School - Gymnasium - Boarding School for gifted Children of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Natalya G. Anokhina – a mentor, a teacher of physics of Regional Specialized School for Gifted Children in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Natalya P. Agarina – a mentor, a teacher of mathematics of T. Tokhtarov School-Kindergarten of Education Department of Ulan district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

Following the event, the speakers answered the participants’ questions, summed up the results and gave methodological recommendations for further effective work on mentoring.
