«2nd Oskemen Hackathon»

2nd Oskemen Hackathon took place on 26-27 November, 2022, according to the action plan of Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, as part of the Year of Children.

The aim of the event is to develop and support the creative, intellectual abilities of learners, promoting scientific and technical areas.

Leading experts from Nfactorial of Almaty city: Eskhat Kuat and Aruzhan Zhaubasar conducted lectures and talks in the IT sphere during the event.

About 150 learners of grades 7-12 worked in 45 teams to develop a website or an app to organize tasks, save and review their deadlines.

By the decision of the jury consisting of Azamat E. Tikenov, Developer of EPAM Kazakhstan, Indira M. Uvaliyeva, PhD of D. Serikbayev EKTU, Mentor of winners of Republican and International Project Competitions. Two rounds of the teams were evaluated by the jury:

Round I - project idea

Round II - quality of execution.

Based on the results of the IT Hackathon,

I place went to Zero Two team of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology of Ust-Kamenogorsk city;

II place is shared by the teams:

Light Fury team of Regional Specialized School for Children Gifted in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Team Spirit - the team of School-Lyceum No. 34;

NCS team of BILIM INNOVATION East-Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Python team of School-Center of Additional Education No. 48.

The winners and prize-winners were awarded Diplomas, Certificates and Cash Awards.

The event resulted in feedback where the participants noted the relevance and practical significance of the event, gained a lot of experience for further use in their practice.

2nd Oskemen Hackathon 2022 was initiated by the winner of Best Teacher Award- 2022, the author of IT-Club Birzhan Auezov and learners of BILIM INNOVATION East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Meir Anuarbekov and Erasyl Essengeldi.
