Young intellectuals are science enthusiasts

Learners of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology of Ust-Kamenogorsk city took top places in the Republican Competition of Scientific Projects in General Education Subjects. The students presented the best projects in the following subjects - Chemistry, Biology, History and Physics.

The 1st place went to Altyn Bekzhankyzy for the scientific paper on the topic “Studying the benefits of using larch resin in production”. Alimkhan Ualiyev, who took the 2nd place, presented the project “Pyramid scheme: how the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs turned people into political criminals” on the example of his family members, who were subjected to repression during the Second World War.

- Increasing the efficiency of space telescope designs is always a topical issue for the space industry. Reducing weight, maintaining flexibility and improving performance have always been the goals of scientists. “Fe-Ni-Co Invar alloy is widely used in many areas requiring dimensional stability, such as metrology, high-precision instruments and space optics,” says Daulet Kaparov about his project. According to the results of the Competition, the project of Daulet “Studying the mechanical properties of the Fe-Ni-Co alloy with alloying elements used in space telescopes” took the 2nd place.

The projects of Zhansaya Toktarkhanova: “Developing a system for diagnosing clinical and hematological syndromes based on mathematical models” and Ayasyl Karkyn “Plant growth regulator from the vegetative part of the aspen” were also took the 2nd place.  

The 3rd place went to the project of Marina Elsyukova on the topic: “Development and efficiency assessment of inhibitory compositions based on coniferous trees for protection against corrosion.”

The winners and scientific supervisors of the projects were awarded Diplomas.

We hope that these projects will be implemented in the future and will contribute to the development of science in the country.
