Regional online workshop “Methods and techniques of working with gifted children”

On November 1, 2022, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional online workshop called “Methods and techniques of working with gifted children”, as part of implementing the plan of the autumn school break.

The goal of the workshop is to develop and increase the motivation of independent thinking, creativity and activity of gifted, capable learners, as well as to apply new methods and techniques in teaching, innovative technologies.

In all, 100 people participated in the online workshop - Chairs of Associations of Teachers of Biology, Chemistry, teachers of Biology and Chemistry of educational institutions of the region and specialized educational institutions.

During the workshop, the following experts shared their effective methods to attract learners to various subject Olympiads, competitions of scientific projects, intellectual, creative competitions to increase learners’ motivation and level of knowledge, demonstrate their knowledge:

Nazym K. Aktanova, a teacher of Chemistry of Secondary School No. 46 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city on “Daryndy okushylarmen zhumys zhasaudyn tiimdі zholdary”;

Olga V. Melekhova, a teacher of Biology of School-Lyceum No. 11 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city “Working with gifted children in Biology classes in a school-lyceum”;

Elena M. Rovenko, a teacher of Geography of Secondary School No. 9 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city “Techniques and strategies in Geography classes, aimed at developing learners’ giftedness”;

Aidar Zh.h Kaldybayev, a teacher of Geography of Zaki Akhmetov Secondary School No. 16 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city “Daryndy okushylardy gylymi praktikalyk konferenziyaga daiyndau zhumystary”.

Following the workshop, during feedback, the participants noted the relevance of the event.
