Debate on the topic “Zhana Kazakhstanga bir kadam”

On October 29, 2022, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Medical College, held a regional workshop-training on debates on the topic “Zhana Kazakhstanga bir kadam” among students of educational institutions of the technical and vocational education system of East Kazakhstan region.

The goal of this event: improving the educational work of colleges, increasing the social and public responsibility and activity of students. Development of public speaking skills, tolerance among young people, promotion of legal literacy through debate and making decisions through the young people's own views on important issues of the society.

Event objectives: To form and develop the personality with high civic responsibility, high intelligence, rich spiritual world, developed aesthetic taste;

To increase the role and place of young people in solving urgent problems of the society;

The training was conducted in Kazakh and Russian languages. During the training, debates were held on the topic “Zhana Kazakhstanga bir kadam” on the British parliamentary format, the American parliamentary format and Lincoln-Douglas (LD).

And trainings on refereeing debates.

This event was attended by students of colleges of East Kazakhstan region, heads of Debate Clubs, deputy directors for educational affairs. Nurken Daulet, a representative of the Republican Project Office of Students’ Debate Movement, welcomed the participants online. This event was attended by 120 college students from Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Ridder town, Altai town, Kurchum, Katon-Karagai, Samar, Ulan districts. Trainings and debates took place on three platforms, the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
