Online Workshop “Basic Leadership Skills”

On October 28, 2022, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an online workshop for headmasters with 1 to 3 years of work experience on the topic “Basic Leadership Skills”.

The goal of the workshop is to expand knowledge about management tools in secondary schools and apply the acquired knowledge and skills in everyday work.

The workshop presented an innovative model of school management, personal qualities of the leader, style and management cycle.

The speakers of the event:

Tlektes S. Shinguzhinova, founder of Global SAPA LLP educational center of Astana city on “Everything needs a systematic approach!”;

Kulfarida B. Raisova, Director of the branch of Teaching Excellence Center of Ust-Kamenogorsk city on “School’s unique culture”;

Gulzhanat A. Abdramanova, Headmaster of Ilyas Esenberlin Gymnasium No. 67 of Astana city on “Innovative management in administration”;

Gulfiya O. Berekpolova, a senior lecturer of the branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan of East Kazakhstan region on “Transformational leadership in educational environment”.

They showed a portrait of a modern leader, regardless of their work experience, placed an emphasis on the ability to adapt to changing conditions, the ability to make decisions and bear responsibility for them. An international study found that teamwork as well as the implementation of innovative approaches are crucial for systemic leadership in administrative management and teacher development.

The participants noted the importance, and practical relevance of the workshop. The workshop was highly appreciated by the participants.
