Online workshop “Non-standard forms and methods while teaching Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business in upper schools of the region”

Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business is a project learning, based on the principle of gamification, designed to make the material easy to understand as well as to develop certain useful primary skills that can be scaled to real circumstances in post-school life.

Building a subject on the practice and specifics of entrepreneurship of Kazakhstan, the history of development and formation of entrepreneurship; the use of coaching approaches in order to form a conscious life position and take responsibility for one's own choice of activity; shaping skills of the XXI century, those popular in the light of personnel trends in Kazakhstan and global market conditions - are the features of the subject of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business.

On October 20, 2022, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in order to provide methodological support, held an online workshop called “Non-standard forms and methods while teaching Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business in upper schools of the region”.

During the event, the experience was shared by: Gaukhar A. Ukirtayeva, a teacher of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business of School-Lyceum No. 43 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Naryk zhane aimak trendteri”;

Elena V. Semilet, a teacher of Fundamentals of Law and Economics of School-Lyceum No. 11 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Techniques of gamification to shape functional literacy of school students in classes of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business”;

Bakyt D. Ozhekeneva, a teacher of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business of School-Center for Additional Education No. 48 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Kasipkerlik zhane business negizderi panіn okytuda CLIL technologiyasyn koldanu”.

The workshop resulted in feedback, where the participants thanked the speakers of the event noting the relevance of the workshop and non-standard methods of developing financial literacy skills and entrepreneurial thinking among school students.

The event was attended by 100 teachers of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business of secondary schools of the region.
