PRESS RELEASE of 2nd Oskemen Hackathon

Information technologies (IT) in education are currently essential for the transition of the society to an information civilization. New information technologies create an environment of computer and telecommunication support for organization and administration in various fields of activity. The integration of information technologies into educational programs is underway at all the levels: school, university and postgraduate education.

Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region as part of the Year of Children, jointly with BILIM INNOVATION East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, D. Serikbayev EKTU and East Kazakhstan Regional Center for New Technologies in Education of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region are holding the second IT-Hackathon “2nd Oskemen Hackathon” for students of grades 7-12 of secondary schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk city in order to attract schoolchildren to IT.

The format of the Competition is to create a website or an application on a phone according to the design specification given on the day of the Competition.

During the days of the Hackathon, lectures and talks will be held with IT leading experts from Nfactorial of Almaty city.

IT hackathon is taking place on 26-27 November, 2022 on the basis of D. Serikbayev EKTU at the address: 19 Serikbayev St., Ust-Kamenogorsk city,

Time - 11/26/2022 from 9.00 am. to 8.00 pm.; 11/27/2022 from 9.00 am. to 1.00 pm.
