Almaty hosted honorary events, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, a well-known teacher and politician Shamsha Berkimbayeva. NIS brought together all those who worked, studied and was friends with Shamsha Berkimbayeva.
It is symbolic that the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University opened a large-scale program. The successful revival of the University in independent Kazakhstan began in 2003, when Shamsha Berkimbayeva was appointed Rector. Only thanks to her initiative and energy, the House of Students appeared under the University, which on the day of the anniversary was officially named after Shamsha Berkimbayeva. Manuscripts, books, documents, awards from the family archive are collected in the main building of the university - in the Center named after her in the Aktumar Museum.
The major honorary event is the presentation of the book “Kazakh mektebi - ult tiregi”, which Shamsha Berkimbayeva did not have time to complete. The unique collection was prepared for publication by the NIS Center for Teaching Excellence and printed in its printing complex.
- “Kazakh mektebi - ult tiregi” is the pedagogical goodwill of Shamsha Berkimbayeva, who devoted her whole life to domestic education and mainly rural school, - emphasized the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, diplomat, scientist, journalist Kuanysh Sultanov, who worked for many years with Shamsha Berkimbayeva.
The NIS Center for Teaching Excellence also shot a documentary film dedicated to the life and teaching activities of Shamsha Berkimbayeva “Shamshyraktai tugan eldin Shamshasy”.
“Today, hundreds of teachers of our country can call themselves students of Shamsha Berkimbayeva. The life of Shamsha Berkimbayeva is a worthy example of a true teacher, whose mission is to serve the school. The obligatory priority of state interests, loyalty to the profession, decency and reliability are noted by everyone who was fortunate to work and be friends with Shamsha Berkimbayeva, - said Kulyash Shamshidinova, the Chair of the Board of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
Her friends and colleagues remembered Shamsha Berkimbayeva as a real professional and as a person of the right stamp, - the Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan Ayagul Mirazova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Researcher of Ybrai Altynsarin National Academy of Education Zhauymbai Karayev, famous teachers Roza Kiykbayeva and Kuanyshkul Mendeyakov, who were friends with Shamsha Berkimbayeva since their student days at the Kyzylorda Pedagogical College, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic, an anesthetist Gulzada Izbasarova, as well as representatives of the Women's Pedagogical University - Rector Gulmira Kanayeva and Acting Professor Lyazzat Adilbekova.
Each performance confirmed the pattern of Shamsha Berkimbayeva's successful professional career - from an ordinary teacher to the Minister - and her human talents.
A beautiful and heartfelt conclusion to the honorary events was a concert program composed of poems and songs, dedicated to Shamsha Berkimbayeva in different years.
