Republican Training and Methodical Council “Competence-oriented training and education: tools and opportunities”
On 19-20 February, 2020, Ust-Kamenogorsk city hosted an extended meeting of the Republican Training and Methodological Council “Competence-oriented training and education: tools and opportunities”.
It was attended by the representatives of Education Administrations of regions, Daryn regional centers, principals of specialized schools for gifted children of the Republic.
Today, a plenary meeting to open the work of the Training Council took place at S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University.
The participants were welcomed by the Rector of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University Tolegen Mukhtar Adіlbekuly, the Head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Zhumadilova Sairangul Akhmetkarimovna, the Head of the Pedagogical Mastership Laboratory of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” MES RK Karkulova Aigul Akimgereyevna.
The Director of Daryn East Kazakhstan Research and Methodology Center for Gifted and Additional Education Development Rakhimzhanova Gaukhar Bolatbekovna presented the system of work of the Centre, reflecting the effectiveness of the participation of schoolchildren and teachers in the republican, international intellectual Olympiads and scientific competitions, as well as the prospects for further efforts on professional support of giftedness development.
The Council members were acquainted with the innovative developments of the Stem-career research laboratory on developing children’s and adolescents’ design skills (A representative of Kerneu Technologies A. Murzakhmetov; the Director of M. Gandhi Specialized Lyceum No. 92 E. Zhiyenbayev).
At the exhibition of educational achievements, the Council participants were able to get familiar with advanced forms of work with gifted children, presented by regional schools for gifted children.
On February 19, within the framework of the program of the Teaching and Methodological Council, the participants got acquainted with the experience of teachers of IT School-Lyceum and Boarding School for Gifted Children.
The innovative experience of the teachers of IT School-Lyceum showed that the educational process aims at the development of educational, research competencies, as well as programming and modeling competences of educational resources (IT-Start-up projects: “Pedestrian Helper”, “Creating a virtual 3D tour “Abai Dana, Abai Dara Kazakta”, “Development of Virtual Reality Models”, “Creation of a virtual 3D tour East Kazakhstanis during Second World War ”, “Mobile app for stress prevention for Android operating system”). The participants took part in open lessons and master classes.
The meeting of the Council on the territory of IT School-Lyceum was followed by a dialogue platform to exchange of views on the implemented forms of work with gifted children.
The educational work with gifted children to be a feature of the Boarding School-Lyceum, is based on the self-awareness and patriotism competence development model. The forms of protection of copyright programs ensured the inclusion of the Council members in the presented panoramic plot of Kazakhstani patriotism.
