Regional online workshop “Intraschool activities as a resource for developing practices in general education system”

On October 7, 2022, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an online workshop called “Intraschool activities as a resource for developing practices in general education system” for deputy headmasters for educational affairs.  

The key idea of ​​the workshop is to introduce the experience of deputy headmasters for educational affairs of intra-school activities aimed at improving the professional competencies of teachers as one of the resources for improving the education quality in secondary schools.  

At the beginning of the workshop, Elmira T. Shaumenova, Head of Management Unit of Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, noted that one of the main assessments of school's activities in modern conditions is in intra-school control. Intra-school control is one of the most important management functions, which is directly related to the functions of analysis and goal setting, aimed at obtaining feedback on the activities of teachers and evaluating it in order to make constructive decisions on further optimizing management and self-government at schools, providing methodological assistance to teachers in order to improve and develop their professional skills.

During the workshop, deputy headmasters for educational affair of the regional schools shared their practical experiences in organizing, monitoring and improving the professional competence of young specialists through the development of “Soft skills”:

Natalya V. Makarova, deputy headmaster of Predgornoe School-Kindergarten-Complex of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region “The system of intra-school control to increase the level of teacher's pedagogical skills”;

Nadezhda N. Chayakhmetova, deputy headmaster of Shayakhmetov Secondary School No. 23 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Organization of intra-school control”;

Aigul A. Kubekenova, deputy headmaster of Yu. Gagarin Secondary School of Education Department of Zaisan town “Soft skills dagdysyn damytu arkyly zhas mamannyn kasibi biliktіlіgіn arttyru”;

Erkezhan M. Zhumagulova, deputy headmaster of Berel Secondary School of Education Department of Katon-Karagai district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region “Zhas mamandardyn kasibi kuzyrettilіlіgin arttyratyn zhumysty uiymdastyru zholdary”.  

During feedback, the participants noted the importance, relevance, practical significance and professionalism of the speakers, who presented a systematic approach and features of intra-school control, basic management functions, planning, analysis and monitoring of the educational process in educational institutions.
