Regular workshop on sharing experience

Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics of Semey city hosted a regular workshop on sharing experience. The seminar was attended by teachers of secondary schools of Semey city, Beskaragai and Kokpekty districts, including from the pilot Abai School of Ulgіlі malshi village.

Today, the workshop discussed the vertical and horizontal planning of the curriculum of the third term of the 2019–2020 academic year in all subjects, the summative assessment for the section and the term, the main resources of the section, as well as the main tasks of the formative assessment.

During the workshop, teachers discussed the features of the programs, new ways and methods of teaching and learning, features and usage of the criteria-based assessment system. Additionally, sections were organized for vice-principals of secondary schools and for coordinators of Education Departments. It also considered a work plan for the second half of the year and monitoring the implementation of the updated content in secondary schools.

At the workshop, there was a section for vice-principals for educational work and classroom teachers, where they were presented various projects of the Intellectual School in the field of education, in particular the project “Serving the Society”, and discussed a long-term joint plan. Now, the main task for teachers is to make every effort to instill in their schoolchildren a sense of patriotism. Moreover, a section was also organized for educators of boarding institutions of the city to present specific practical methods of educational work beyond regular class time. In turn, the teachers of the hostels shared their own experiences.
