Summary meeting to discuss the results of the 2021-2022 school year of Atameken Regional Association of History Teachers “Pedagogical Association as a factor of teacher’s professional development”

A modern teacher is a creative individual, who is spiritually robust, familiar with the features of pedagogical technologies. This relates to History Teachers, because History is one of the disciplines that form the citizens of an independent state and comes to the forefront of modern education. The challenges of today set the task to improve historical education, as well as to identify specific mechanisms for increasing its effectiveness. The Association of Subject Teachers is of great importance in the implementation of this task.

Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in accordance with the annual plan of the Atameken Association of History Teachers held the summary meeting of the Regional Association of History Teachers of educational institutions and specialized educational organizations of the region, heads of Associations, methodologists of District/City Education Departments called “Pedagogical Association as a factor of teacher's professional development”.

The goal of the event is to exchange views of teachers of History on the importance of the Atameken Association in improving the teachers’ competence, on the results of the work for the year and the tasks for the upcoming school year.

The event was attended by teachers of History of educational institutions of the region and specialized educational organizations, heads of District Associations, methodologists of District / City Education Departments, in all 100 people.

The speakers of the event who talked about the results of work, achievements in the school year, shared their experience, suggestions, ideas:

Marina V. Kuropatkina, the Chair of the District Association, a teacher of History, a teacher-researcher of Ybyrai Altynsarin Glubokoe Secondary School of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region “The role of the Association of History Teachers in solving urgent problems of school education”;

Zhanargul O. Butabayeva, the Chair of the District Association, a teacher of History, a pedagogue-researcher of B. Tursynov Secondary School of Education Department of Zharma district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region “Subject teachers’ community as a professional need”.

Bakhyt K. Abraimova, a methodologist in History of Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region spoke about the work done by the Atameken Regional Association of History Teachers in the 2021-2022 school year and about the upcoming tasks.

Concerning the second issue on the agenda, Aliya K. Akhmadiyeva, a teacher of History, a teacher-researcher of Uvarov Secondary School of Education Department of Glubokoe district of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, was elected the Chair of the Regional Association.

The participants of the workshop got feedback and found the annual work of the Association to be satisfactory and expressed their opinion on the issues to be taken into account in the upcoming school year.
