Senior graders (7, 8, 9) of East Kazakhstan region go on a tour of Information Centers of enterprises

On April 19, 2022, a cycle of tours of the Information Centers of enterprises of East Kazakhstan region was launched for senior graders (7, 8, 9). They were initiated by Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov, as part of the Year of Children. The goal of the tours is to expand school students' knowledge in the digital technologies, familiarize them with the scientific basis of the production process, introduce Smart City initiatives, and stimulate to learn digital technologies.

Learners of Secondary School No. 35 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.55 p.m., learners of Secondary School No. 36 from 03.00 p.m. to 05.55 p.m. visited the Information Centers of enterprises of East Kazakhstan region, such as Station of Young Technicians, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, United Energy Service Company JSC, Interdepartmental Single Situational Center, Passenger Transportation Control Center of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

In Zerek Creative Education Center, schoolchildren were interested in hobby groups on Robotics, Modeling, as well as sections on Tourism and Geology, Design, etc.  

Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University demonstrated school students the equipment for virtual and augmented reality and 3D printing, as well as ALTYN ALTAI Museum.

United Energy Service Company JSC acquainted schoolchildren with the smart electricity meters, the Interdepartmental Single Situation Center with the functioning of the Single Duty Dispatch Service-112 and Help Desk-109, and Jastar Time Innovation Center.

Passenger Transportation Control Center of Ust-Kamenogorsk city demonstrated the work of the OSKEMENCARD electronic ticketing system. Schoolchildren were also interested in making electronic cards for buses, as residents of our city began to use them from December 2021.  

In general, the tours were useful, fruitful and interesting for schoolchildren. Some children expressed a desire to attend hobby groups and sections.

Further, the tours will be held twice a day (at 10.00 am and 03.00 pm) every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of May.
