Regional workshop “Awareness-raising about preparation of education institutions for state final assessments”

On April 12, 2022, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in accordance with the official instructions from the meeting dated March 2, 2022, held a regional workshop for 18 schools of Borodulikha and Ayagoz districts to explain and prepare educational institutions for state assessments, scheduled for May, 2022.  

The goal is to explain and prepare documents of educational institutions during self-assessment of educational activities in accordance with the Order No. 124 dated February 2, 2016 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On approval of the criteria to assess educational institutions”.

The schools that passed the state assessment procedure shared their experience at the workshop - School-Lyceum No.11 and K.Shakarim Secondary School No.1 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

The speakers of the workshop: Elena A. Korolyeva, Acting Headmaster of School-Lyceum No.11 Elena V. Fyedorova, Deputy Headmaster for Teaching Affairs of School-Lyceum No.11, Sailaubek Adil, Headmaster of K.Shakarim Secondary School No.1 and Mautkhan Lyazzat, Deputy Headmaster for Teaching Affairs of K. Shakarim Secondary School No.1, who spoke about the key directions on how to prepare an educational institution for state assessment, including materials for conducting a school self-assessment:

- an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the pedagogical council with the decision to conduct a self-assessment;

- an order to create self-assessment, approved by the head of the educational institution;

- approved self-assessment program (according to criteria);

- questionnaires filled out by respondents for parents of preschool age or older children;

- conclusion of self-assessment in accordance with the structure and content;

- video materials of lessons of the invariant component;

- video materials about equipment and furniture;

- assessment sheet based on the results of assessment by descriptors;

- an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees on the speech of the head of the educational institution with a report on the results of the self-assessment of the educational institution.

Following the workshop, the speakers answered the questions, the participants thanked the organizers.
