Regional online workshop “Education quality management: development of abilities and talents of schoolchildren”

On February 10, 2022, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an online regional workshop called “Education quality management: development of abilities and talents of schoolchildren”. It took place as part of the Regional Program for Gifted Education Development in East Kazakhstan region for 2022-2026, for methodologists, deputy headmasters for educational and innovative work of educational institutions of the region.   

The goal of the workshop is to address the problems and areas of work with talented, gifted children related to the quality of school education.

The total number of participants was 100 people.

One of the principles of building a single system for assessing the quality of education is in the objectivity of the educational progress of learners, which can be achieved as a result of coordinated actions at all levels of education management. The identification of gifted children and the development of their abilities is one of the tasks in education.  The speakers of the workshop made presentations to address the various methods and forms of identifying gifted children and their preparation for Olympiads and competitions.

The speakers of the workshop:

Elena A. Koroleva, Deputy Headmaster for profile education on “Developing prospective skills among learners in a school lyceum by implementing the Gifted Children Program” and Elena V. Paleva, an English teacher on “Systemic support of gifted children in a school lyceum ” of School-Lyceum No. 11 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region;

Elena Yu. Potanina, a teacher of Mathematics of Regional Specialized School-Lyceum for Children Gifted in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Experience in preparing schoolchildren for Mathematical Olympiads”;

Byrzhan B. Auezov, a teacher of Mathematics of Bilim-Innovation East-Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region  on “Okushylardy matematika paninen olympiadаga daiyndau zholdary”;

Nazerke E. Mustafinova, a teacher of Mathematics of Bilim-Innovation East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Semey city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Okushy kabiletin anyktau, daryndy balalardy koldau, matematika paninen Olympiadaga daiyndau zholdary”;

Aslan O. Alibayev, Deputy Headmaster for Academic Affairs of Bilim-Innovation East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Lyceum for Gifted Children of Semey city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region on “Okushylardy pandik Olympiadaga daiyndaudyn keibir maseleleri”.

Following the workshop, the participants noted the importance, relevance, practical significance of this workshop and offered to continue sharing the experience of the best teachers who trained the winners of Republican and International Intellectual Olympiads and Competitions.
