Regional Workshop “Modern approaches to organize vocational orientation to guide school students of educational institutions”

On January 21, 2022, in accordance with the annual action plan, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an online workshop called “Modern approaches to organize vocational orientation to guide school students of educational institutions.”

The goal of the event is to generalize and disseminate the experience of the teaching staff of M.Auezov Secondary School of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region in organizing vocational guidance of school students.

The workshop was attended by methodologists of District and City Education Departments, deputy headmasters of schools for educational and vocational orientation, teachers of general educational institutions of the region, in all 100 people.

During the workshop, the teachers of M. Auezov Secondary School of Ust-Kamenogorsk city shared their experience:

Gulmira F. Abdrakhmanova, deputy headmaster for Educational Affairs, briefed on the principles of organizing vocational guidance of learners at school;

Irina Yu. Akulova, a teacher-organizer of the school shared on the interaction of the school with out-of-school organizations of the city to develop professional self-determination of schoolchildren;

Ruslan J. Israilov, a senior counselor, showed the use of the efforts of school self-government bodies to develop the professional interests of schoolchildren;

Dinara E. Demegeneva, a school psychologist, demonstrated the forms and methods of work of the Psychological Service of the school to do the right choice of the future profession for graduates;

Irina A. Kryuchkova, deputy headmaster for specialized education, spoke about the recourses of applied and elective courses in the professional guidance of school students;

Alla V. Aitpayeva, a teacher of Russian language and literature, showed the potential of the school website for parents and learners in choosing their future profession.

G.F. Abdrakhmanov and R.D. Israilov Elements showed the school-wide event “Festival of Professions”.

The workshop was followed by a feedback session where the participants shared their impressions of the practical work.
