Students of Sarsen Amanzholov Higher College won top places at the Curling World Cup

In 2021, Almaty city hosted the Curling World Cup 2021 - the 20th Nazarbayev Curling Cup WCT Mixed Doubles 2021.

12 teams from 6 countries took part in this competition, among them athletes from Finland, Estonia and Russia. Competitions took place at the Almaty Arena and lasted for three days. For the first time it was held in Almaty, though the N. Nazarbayev Cup has already been organized in a number of countries of the world.

Students of the Higher College of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University: Nikita Khoryakov and Malika Kadylzhanova won the honorable 3rd place in the Mixed Doubles. These students in November last year won the 6th place at the Pacific Asian Championship in Almaty city.
