Results of Regional Distance Student Scientific-Practical Conference “Kazakhstan’s Independence and Spiritual-Cultural Values”

On December 21, 2021, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in accordance with the action plan of the Regional Methodological Association of Teachers of Language Disciplines, jointly with D. Kalmatayev State Higher Medical College of Semey city, summarized the Regional Distance Student Scientific and Practical Conference called “Kazakhstan’s Independence and Spiritual-Cultural Values”.

 The goal is to develop the cognitive interests and creativity of students, instilling the skills of independent productive activities; involving students in scientific research, stimulating active participation in research work; supporting and developing students’ scientific thought; activating the scientific activity of the student community.

The conference included the following sections:

- Kazakhstan’s Nuclear-Free Initiatives in the context of the 30th Anniversary of Independence and the closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site;

- Independent Kazakhstan: history and modernity;

- Russian language as a reflection of the multinational culture of Kazakhstan during the years of independence;

- Multilingualism in Kazakhstan;

- The role of English language at the current stage of development of Independent Kazakhstan;

- English is important for the future of Kazakhstan.
