Methodical online workshop “Peculiarities of organizing summative assessment in schools of different types”

The modern world is facing a rapid development of new technologies. A vivid illustration of the above is a school computer science lesson. The content of educational material of Computer Science in connection with the introduction of the updated program involves the performance of criteria-based assessment of students' progress.

As part of the events for the 2021-2022 school year, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an online workshop on the topic “Peculiarities of organizing summative assessment in schools of different types” for teachers of Computer Science of schools of the region in order to prepare for the final certification.

The speakers of the online workshop, who shared their experience were:

Nurzhan A. Kaiynbayeva, a teacher of Computer Science of Ukrain Secondary School-Kindergarten Complex of Education Department of Ulan district on “Implementation of Learning Objectives in Summative Assessment Tasks as One of the Conditions for Successful Preparation for the Final Certification in Computer Science”;

O.Yu. Isakova, a teacher of Computer Science of Regional Specialized School for Gifted Children in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, EA EKR on “Peculiarities of organizing of summative assessment in schools with advanced study of Computer Science.”

During the online workshop, the teachers received recommendations on how to prepare tasks for SAT, SAU, as well as to prepare for the final certification of 9th grade students in Computer Science for schools of different types:

- general education schools;

- gymnasiums / lyceums, specialized schools;

- special institutions, special grades and groups;

- students with special educational needs in educational institutions.

The event was attended by 100 teachers of Computer Science of secondary schools of the region.
