Meeting of volunteer students of TVE “Open Heart” with international participation, dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

A meeting of students of TVE volunteers “Open Heart” with international participation, dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place on December 3, 2021 at Abai East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific Library of Semey city. It was held in order to celebrate the International Volunteer Day.

Aims of the event: exchanging best volunteering practices and promoting the Volunteer Movement.

The key task of the gathering is to exchange experience of volunteer groups and invite them to mutual cooperation.

The meeting was organized by Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, Avicenna Higher Medical College.

The meeting was attended by volunteers from all institutions of technical and vocational education of the region.

The meeting was held both offline and online on the ZOOM platform for participants from other cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and guests from educational institutions of neighboring countries:

They are the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University”, Medical College of Veliky Novgorod, St. Petersburg State Budget Professional Educational Institution “V.M. Bekhterev Medical College of St. Petersburg, Belarusian State Medical College of Minsk city, Academician I.P. Antonov Vitebsk State Medical College of Vitebsk city, from the cities of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Petropavlovsk, Temirtau.

The gathering included 4 sections: Portfolio of Best Volunteer, Portfolio of Best Leader of Volunteer Movement, Creative Presentation of Best Volunteer Project and a roundtable to exchange of experience in volunteer activities called “Peer teaches a peer”.

The development of student volunteering is one of the priority areas in the activities of educational institutions. The meeting has contributed to enhance the development of the volunteer network of clubs.
