II regional contest “Read and Win” for school children from the 6th to 8th grades

II regional contest “Read and Win” for school children from the 6th to 8th grades is taking place on September 17, 2021. It is held by Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, Daryn East Kazakhstan Scientific and Methodological Center for Gifted and Additional Education Development jointly with Pushkin Library of East Kazakhstan region.

The key goal of the Contest is to increase the status of reading, reading activity and improve the quality of reading, developing cultural and reading competence of children, as well as cultivating high civic and spiritual-moral guidelines in the younger generation. During the summer holidays, schoolchildren were offered to read a number of books of foreign and Kazakh authors, included in the list of recommended books by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

580 school students of the region participated in the qualifying round of the contest, 227 of whom will take part in the regional round.

The II regional contest “Read and Win” for school children from the 6th to 8th grades will be held in two rounds: Online Testing and Essay Contest.

The winners of the competition will be named following the results of two rounds and awarded the I, II, III Degree-Diplomas, and the participants will get certificates of the Daryn Centre of East Kazakhstan region.
