Results of the regional round of Annual Republican Competition “Best Teacher”

On June, 21 this year, East Kazakhstan region announced the results of the regional round of the Annual Republican Competition “Best Teacher” and named “Best TVE Teacher 2021”.

Education Administration considered 13 applications submitted by the winners of the competition having held among colleges. The number of those wishing to take part in such competitions grows, since professional competitions enable to encourage the progressive teachers, as well as to increase the prestige of work and the status of teaching staff.

The order of Education Administration approved the composition of the regional commission to name the winner of the II round of the competition. The regional commission included the officials of Education Administration, experienced teachers, winners of professional competitions of pedagogical skills, methodological services, officials of the Department for Education Quality Assurance and Institutes for Advanced Training, as well as the representatives of public education associations, youth organizations.  

Within 3 days from June, 16 to June 18, 2021, the commission remotely considered the materials of the participants in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 157 dated April 23, 2020. It should be noted that high demands were imposed on the content and design of the portfolio of the participants. The participants of the competition presented their personal professional achievements in educational activities, their contribution to the development of the education system over the last 5 years, the outcomes of training and education of students. Moreover, according to the Competition Rules, the participants submitted videos and essays.

According to the Competition Rules, the commission assessed the activities of the participants, on a 10-point scale, taking into account the indicators of the teacher's professional competence, the performance of the participant, the professional skill of the participant, aesthetics, structuring and completeness of the portfolio, compliance of the video with the technical conditions of the competition, the regulations, as well, the use of special programs while making the video.

By the decision of the regional commission, the winner of the second round of the competition is Asel K. Temirova, a teacher of special disciplines of East Kazakhstan College of Arts named after People's Artists the Abdullin Brothers, who gained the right to compete for the Best Teacher Award at the republican level.
