Regional online workshop “Efficient ways to prepare 9 and 11 graders for final exams and UNT in Biology, Chemistry and Geography”

On April 26, 2021, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional online workshop on the topic “Efficient ways to prepare 9, 11 graders for final exams and UNT in Biology, Chemistry and Geography” for teachers of Biology, Chemistry, Geography of secondary schools of the region.  

The purpose of the workshop is to exchange the experience in the preparation of students of grades 9, 11 for the final exams and UNT in Biology, Chemistry and Geography within the framework of the updated education program.  

100 people took part in the online workshop: Chairmen of the Associations of Teachers of Biology, Chemistry, Geography, teachers of Biology, Chemistry, Geography of educational institutions of the region and specialized educational institutions.

The Head of Education Content and Education Quality Monitoring Office of Shygys RC EA EKR Gulnar Z. Abetayeva provided participants with additional information on the final examination of students of grades 9,11.  

The workshop shared the experience of the following teachers related to the preparation for the final exams and UNT of students of grades 9, 11:

Karlygash I. Shayakhmetova, a teacher of Geography of Shakarim Multidisciplinary Gymnasium with three languages of instruction, Semey city addressed on “Geographya pani boiynsha 9,11 synyp bilim alushylaryn korytyndy attestattauga zhane ubt-daka sapaly daiyndyk - natizhe kepili”;

Marina S. Lebedeva, a teacher of Geography of Secondary School No. 35, Semey city on “Preparation system for the final exam in Geography in grades 9;

Zhanar K. Boranbayeva, a teacher of Biology of Secondary School No. 20, Ust-Kamenogorsk city on “Bilim alushylardy UBT-ga daiyndaudyn tiimdi adis-tasilderi”;

Olga N. Suskina, a teacher of Chemistry of Secondary School No. 1, Semey city on “Development of functional literacy of students of grades 9, 11 to prepare for the final exams in Chemistry”.

During the online workshop, teachers received recommendations to develop professional skills, updating theoretical and practical knowledge in preparing students for the final exams and UNT of grades 9, 11.
