Regional online workshop “Boarding school as a center for socialization and vocational-oriented education of children with special educational needs”

On April 22, 2021, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional online workshop “Boarding school as a center for socialization and vocational-oriented education of children with special educational needs” for principals, deputy principals for educational work, psychologists and teachers of career education of special correctional institutions.

The purpose of the event is to create social and psychological conditions for successful cultivation of competent identity of the child with special educational needs, capable of living and working independently in the society.

During the online workshop, technology teachers of Boarding school for Orphans and Children without Parental Care of EA EKR: N.R.Tashimova, B.Zh. Shakpakbayeva, Zh.B. Zhumabekov, B.Kh. Makazhanov, S.B. Alibekov showed master classes.

The event was attended by 62 teachers of special boarding schools of the region.

The participants discussed the efficiency of students’ competence, needed for continuing education and choosing a profession, willingness to use them in real life.

A methodological manual for career education was presented following the online workshop.
