Regional online workshop “Organizing and supporting of School Mediation Services”

An online training on the topic “Mediative technologies to address disputes and conflicts in educational environment” took place  on March 31, 2021 for the heads of School Mediation Services of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, schools No. 5, 15, 19 , 23, Semey city No. 3,17,30,43, secondary schools of Zaisan, Abai, Kokpekty districts in order to prevent conflict situations and offenses among learners, within the framework of a memorandum of mutual cooperation with the NGO “Alternative” East Kazakhstan Center for Mediation and Law.

Head Aksana A. Kalenova stressed that the School Mediation Services created in the educational system help reduce the number of conflict situations, as well as enhance the efficiency of preventive work aimed at reducing them.

The participants of the training got acquainted with the theory and practice of mediation in negotiations, with the algorithm of mediation, the actions of the mediator in order to change the behavior of participants in educational relations, considered the main mistakes of the teacher's behavior in the situation that arose.
