Regional online workshop “Methods and techniques to improve reading literacy”

On March 29, 2021, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, as part of implementing the action plan for the spring break, held an online workshop on the topic “Methods and techniques to improve reading literacy” on the ZOOM platform in order to implement a comprehensive plan to improve reading literacy within the framework of the Reading School Project for 2020-2025.   

The goal of the workshop is to improve the status of reading, reading activity and improving the quality of reading, fostering the cultural and reading competence of children, shaping high civic and spiritual-moral guidelines in learners of primary schools.

During the workshop, a primary school teacher of Oralkhan Bokei Lyceum No. 44 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Gulnaz B. Zhanybekova; a primary school teacher of Shokan Ualikhanov Lyceum School No.3 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Karlygash K. Musanova; a primary school teacher of Secondary School No36 of Education Department of Semey city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Kuralai E. Nurkhasimova showed master classes and shared their experience.

There was feedback following the workshop where the participants received answers to their questions and recommendations on how to improve reading literacy in primary grades.
