Regional online workshop “Forms and methods to improve reading literacy” as part of the Reading School Project

On March 26, 2021, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, within the framework of the Action Plan of spring break activities, held a regional online workshop on “Forms and methods to improve reading literacy” based on the experience of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceum as part of the Reading school Project.

The goal of the event is to provide practical and methodological assistance to librarians of schools of the region, generalize and disseminate the experience of BILIM-INNOVATION Lyceums of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey cities.  

During the workshop, the following speakers shared their experience:

Aigul M. Zharylgasina, a deputy principal for educational work of BILIM INNOVATION Lyceum of Semey city on “Kitap-zhan azygy”;

Zhasulan S. Almaganbetov, a deputy principal for educational work of BILIM INNOVATION Lyceum of Ust-Kamenogorsk city on “Kitap - akylyna aky suramaityn altyn kazyna”.

The workshop was attended by over 100 coordinators of district and city education departments responsible for working with school libraries, librarians of secondary schools.
