Regional online workshop “Methods and techniques to improve reading literacy”

On March 26, 2021, as part of implementing the action plan during the spring break, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an online workshop on the topic “Methods and techniques to improve reading literacy” in a distance format on ZOOM platform to implement a comprehensive plan for reading literacy development of learners within the framework of Reading School Project for 2020-2025.  

The goal of the workshop is to increase the status of reading, reading activities and improve the quality of reading, improving the cultural and reading competence of children, fostering high civic and spiritual-moral guidelines among primary school students.

During the workshop, primary school teachers of Regional Specialized School-Lyceum for Gifted Children in Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, the winners of the Best Teacher-2019-2020 Award, master teachers S.Yu. Tinkova, N.V. Melnikova shared their practices. A primary school teacher of Secondary School No. 39 Oksana V. Aleksandrova showed a master class.

Following the workshop, giving feedback, the participants received answers to their questions and recommendations on how to improve reading literacy in grades 1, 2, 3, 4.
