Practical online workshop “Organizing and holding Online Robotics Championship among schoolchildren on VEXcode VR platform”

On March 16, 2021, East Kazakhstan Regional Center for New Technologies in Education, jointly with Innovative College of Semey city held a practical online workshop on the topic: “Organizing and holding Online Robotics Championship among schoolchildren on VEXcode VR platform”.

The workshop was attended by coordinators of district (city) education departments, teachers of Computer science and robotics.

The speakers of the workshop were a robotics trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a teacher of Computer science and robotics of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics of Semey city, Bakytbek N. Orynbayev, a teacher of Computer science of Innovative College of Semey city Aibek E. Sultanbekov, a teacher of Mathematics and robotics of Regional Specialized IT-School Lyceum of Ust-Kamenogorsk city Erzhan B. Auezov.

During the workshop, the trainers shared their experience on learning and using the VEXcode VR platform in the educational process.  

They showed how to solve the problems “Dynamic Wall Maze”, “Crash the castle”, “Hidden pixel art”, “Discs Mover”. Also, the workshop discussed the issues of preparation for the Online Robotics Championship in educational institutions.

More than 400 teachers of the region took part in the workshop. The event went also live on the YouTube channel of EA EKR. Link to the workshop
